Part I – Groans with Christ
1 Corinthians 5:1-8
“It is actually reported that there is immorality among you, and of a kind that is not found even among pagans; for a man is living with his father's wife. 2 And you are arrogant! Ought you not rather to mourn? Let him who has done this be removed from among you. 3 For though absent in body I am present in spirit, and as if present, I have already pronounced judgment 4 in the name of the Lord Jesus on the man who has done such a thing. When you are assembled, and my spirit is present, with the power of our Lord Jesus, 5 you are to deliver this man to Satan for the destruction of the flesh, that his spirit may be saved in the day of the Lord Jesus. 6 Your boasting is not good. Do you not know that a little leaven leavens the whole lump?
7 Cleanse out the old leaven that you may be a new lump, as you really are unleavened. For Christ, our paschal lamb, has been sacrificed. 8 Let us, therefore, celebrate the festival, not with the old leaven, the leaven of malice and evil, but with the unleavened bread of sincerity and truth.”
St. Paul admonishes the Christians of Corinth because they are acting from the spirit of criticism which St. Paul calls “arrogant” (5:2), “boasting” (5:6) and the “leaven of malice and evil” (5:8). St. Paul sees the impurity of their intentions. They are condemning and judging the sinner without profound mourning of heart for the death of the soul of their brother because they lack love— “Ought you not rather to mourn?” (5:2)

Living Tabernacle of God —#78 Diary of a MOC.[1]
To be one with Me means that you become the living tabernacle of God. My loving, pulsating Heart lives in you as one with you. You feel My sorrows and participate in My groans for the fulfillment of humanity's transformation into LOVE.
· Example: the episode of The Chosen in which a Pharisee listens to Jesus teach the crowd, but he is stuck in his own perceptions, understandings, hardness of heart and therefore calls the Roman officers to arrest Jesus. Yet Jesus gazes at him with “tenderness in mercy” which flows from the groans of His Sacred Heart.
· It is first and foremost from Jesus’ Heart suffering the intense groans of the condition of the hearts of the Pharisees that then He is able to speak the truth with sincerity and boldness:
In Mathew 23: 13-36 Jesus speaks the word “hypocrite” 6X confronting the darkness in the hearts of the Pharisees. He also calls them “blind guides”, “whitewashed tombs”, “dead men’s bones” directly to their faces. He speaks in LOVE the truth:
“Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! For you are like whitewashed tombs which on the outside appear beautiful, but inside they are full of dead men’s bones and all uncleanness. 28 So you, too, outwardly appear righteous to men, but inwardly you are full of hypocrisy and lawlessness."
St. Paul’s words, in the aforementioned letter to the Corinthians, reveal his restored manhood in Christ moved by the Spirit of Love. He admonishes both the community and the sinner severely, “you are to deliver this man to Satan for the destruction of the flesh” (5:5). He excommunicates the man. This might seem very harsh to us, but the severe punishment was in order to humiliate the man, to bring about the taming and eradication of his lusts so that his spirit could be saved. It was a discipline to AWAKEN carried out in deep sorrow for one who has died. St Paul acts with the authority of the Holy Spirit knowing that this sin is rooted in the sexual disorders that were common among the pagans of that culture. If this “bad weed” spread through the new Christian community in Corinth, it would destroy them. St Paul desires the salvation of this man and the protection of the Christian community. St Paul acts in truth which is mentioned by William Barclay in his Bible commentary, “Discipline has to be exercised for the sake of the Church. To shut our eyes to the offense is not always a kind thing to do; it may be damaging. A weed must be plucked out before it damages the entire ground. Discipline should never be exercised for the satisfaction of the person who exercises it, but always for the mending of the person who has sinned and for the sake of the Church.” St Paul defends and protects the Church and also provides the guidance and formation they need through his “sincerity and truth”(5:8).
St. Paul was acting in the authority of God because he was being moved by the pure intention of love; love for the salvation of each Christian soul and for the new Church in Corinth. Love moved him to provide, defend and protect.

Part II
Warn and Awaken My People in the Spirit of Love
At the “deepest recesses” of our hearts are our intentions. The Sword of the Spirit, Jesus Christ, desires to expose our true intention; to become naked to ourself and God; an intention that is no longer veiled with falsehood—lies, disordered desires, fears, malice, evil.

This episode from the life of St Paul (1 Cor.5:1-8) reveals his intentions of heart and those of the Christians of Corinth. St Paul acting in Christ as the “sword of the Spirit” exposes the intentions of the people and at the same time witnesses pure love as a man transformed in Christ.
The spirit of love vs. the spirit of the world

“But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control” (Galatians 5:22-23)
“Let us have no self-conceit, no provoking of one another, no envy of one another.” (Gal.5:26)

The hypocrite has the spirit of the world but pretends to have the spirit of love. He keeps his intentions hidden even from himself, and of course from God. He lives in DENIAL, and therefore, stuck in his own darkness, chained in his own lie, he is unable to be set free.
Jesus taught us to “live wrapped in the gift of self-knowledge”, and in this way, in a PERMANENT STATE OF REPENTANCE! In order to live in the groans of Christ we must live in the groans of our misery. A litmus test to know if we are truly living The Simple Path led by the Holy Spirit is whether or not we find ourselves more and more in a permanent state of deep repentance. The sorrow of our hearts knowing and suffering our misery is expressed in continuous groans. When we sit before our Lord in adoration and the tears of our hearts swell to the surface because of our inability to love unconditionally with pure intentions, then we have come to know the groans of Christ for us and are able to live His Words, “RECEIVE MY TEARS.”
We can never separate ourselves from humanity. We cannot read Galatians 5 and see others in the category of the “spirit of the world” and ourselves in the category of the “fruit of the Spirit.” This is hypocrisy. We must live in the knowledge that the spirit of the world is in each of us and that even if we have grown greatly in the spirit of Love, we can easily fall back into the spirit of the world; this is our misery.
Questions that can expose the condition of our hearts:
· Is it difficult for me to confront others with truth, to be sincere and transparent? Specifically, with who? Why?
· When the sins and disorders in others wound me, do I feel intense sorrow for them or is my tendency to judge, condemn, get angry, resentful, frustrated, separate from them? Am I able to see that same sin in the other person that wounded me in myself?
This reveals the condition of my own heart—the darkness of evil or the light of love. It is ONLY when I am able to see my own darkness that the Light of Christ can then penetrate me and set me free. I have to be willing to expose myself to God and to myself.
FREEDOM
St. Paul says in Gal. 5:1, “For freedom Christ has set us free; stand fast therefore, and do not submit again to a yoke of slavery.”
What is, therefore, true freedom? It is living more and more in the Spirit of Love. St Paul explains it to the Galatians this way: “For you were called to freedom, brethren; only do not use your freedom as an opportunity for the flesh, but through love be servants of one another. For the whole law is fulfilled in one word, "You shall love your neighbor as yourself." (Gal.5:13-14)
How then do we arrive to live in freedom? Only by crucifying our flesh with its passions and desires (Gal.5:24)!
The Lord has blessed us with many anointed teachings. We can receive them and understand them in our minds, but they don’t become flesh of our heart until we struggle to live them. The reason it is so difficult is that we must be willing to undergo the crucifixion of our flesh, which is the death of our disordered tendencies, desires, even good desires, expectations, and on-and-on.
PROPHETS TO WARN AND AWAKEN GOD’S PEOPLE
As Mothers and Missionaries of the Cross we have been entrusted a prophetic mission. Jesus has asked us not only to pray for others but also to warn them and to bring to light the darkness that Satan wants to keep hidden.
Ezekiel 33:7-9
"So you, son of man, I have made a watchman for the house of Israel; whenever you hear a word from my mouth, you shall give them warning from me. 8 If I say to the wicked, O wicked man, you shall surely die, and you do not speak to warn the wicked to turn from his way, that wicked man shall die in his iniquity, but his blood I will require at your hand. 9 But if you warn the wicked to turn from his way, and he does not turn from his way; he shall die in his iniquity, but you will have saved your life.”
Prophecy, Memorial Day, 5/31/2010
You, My nation of the U.S.A have forsaken Me, your God. You have made materialism your god. You have made yourselves your own God. You have slaughtered My innocent little ones and their precious blood cries out to Me. You have turned your face from Me. Now I will turn My face from you during the time of the great chastisement. My daughter, raise up My army of holy ones. You must speak My words of warning, for I, your Lord and your God, loves you. You must tell them to open their eyes to Love Crucified; to unite themselves to Love Crucified, for it is only in this way that the power of My Cross will triumph over the evil that prevails.
…you will go out with Fr. Jordi to speak the truth of all that I tell you, warning My people and calling them to repentance before the time of My visitation. You will call them to enter the safety of My Cross, which is the only place they are safe from the darkness that surrounds them and wants to consume them. –2011
Our Lord asked me to read Jeremiah 6. (7/6/11)
Then He said:
My daughter, it is time for all My chosen prophets to come to the light. You have been chosen, hand-picked by the Father, for these decisive times. I lament the justice of God before you. The time of the great and horrible destruction is near, yet few are prepared. My chosen prophets will suffer greatly. Are you willing to speak My words, My daughter? Are you willing to be crucified as ONE with Me? The time is near, yet the world sleeps. My chosen sons called to shepherd My people to safety slumber in the sin of their sloth and arrogance. My daughter, the path to new life is very narrow. It is the wood of My Cross. I desire for you and Father to warn My people, especially My sons, of the destruction that is at hand, and call them to awaken through repentance of their many sins. Call them to be My victims of love. Call them to martyrdom for love of Me. Call them to holiness. My daughter, few will listen, but you are called to be My voice in this wilderness.
· They (Missionaries of the Cross) will bring to light the darkness hidden deep in the hearts of My chosen sons. They will preach My love and mercy while there is still time, calling each of them to repentance. 2010
Message for LC, Feast of St Paul of the Cross 10/20/12
I have formed you (LC), trained you, dressed you to be My prophets of light to warn and awaken My people before the horrible day of judgement comes down upon you. There will be wailing, groaning, and grinding of teeth in your streets. The darkness of evil will cover you. Be prepared when these things happen that I speak to you about. Do not let the thief catch you unprepared. Believe, you are My people, My little ones, held in the Father's palm. Believe that I am one with you, the light in the world, My living hosts. Believe, so that My Light can shine through you to penetrate the darkness consuming the world. Believe in the Power of God working through His hidden force. Love and continue to suffer ALL, as one with Me in My sacrifice of love, to enter prepared with God's armor the fiercest battle that is at hand. Do not be ashamed of My words (Mark 8: 38) and share the treasure of Heaven that has been entrusted to you (The Simple Path to Union With God) with many. Complete My Path and as My Heralds of Hope teach it from the housetops. This is your mission. Respond with great zeal and courage of heart, as My warriors of love, for these decisive times.
