Jesus uses the word “receive” in the Gospels of Mark 9:37 and 10:15. In both verses, “receive” refers to children. This reflection, given to the women of LC, explains what it takes to “receive” through the experience of motherhood. Mary teaches us that receiving is linked to learning to listen in the silence of her cloister.
