Amid the chaos of caring for my grandchildren all week, the Lord inspired me on the Feast of the Epiphany to write from my heart about the gift of wisdom, the precious gold we have received through the wisdom of the Cross. I invite you to unwrap this gift as you listen to this reflection.
WISDOM
1/8/26
We impart a secret and hidden wisdom of God, which God decreed before the ages for our glorification. 1 Cor. 2:7
This past Sunday, we celebrated the Feast of the Epiphany. Jesus was first honored and glorified as King by shepherds, who were considered unclean and despised, the lowliest who were not allowed to enter the temple. Then, by Gentiles, the three kings. Isaiah prophesied that the gentile nations would bring gifts of gold, frankincense, and myrrh (60:3, 6).
The gifts presented to the infant Jesus were of great significance. Gold was the symbol of royalty, representing the Kingship of Jesus. Frankincense was used in the worship of God and points to His divinity. Myrrh was a burial ointment that signifies the humanity of Christ, especially in His passion and death.
Saint Gregory the Great wrote, “The treasures represent the gifts we bring Jesus in our daily lives. Gold is Christ's wisdom, which shines in us, frankincense is the prayer and adoration we give him, and myrrh is our daily self-sacrifice.”[1]
I would like to focus this reflection on the gift of wisdom, which is not as easy to understand or perceive as the gifts of praise and self-sacrifice.
Wisdom is one of the highest gifts of the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit spoke to us of this truth:
I Am the Light of God. The Fire in the burning bush that Moses saw was the Fire of the Spirit of God, the Third Person of the Most Holy Trinity. It is My Fire of Love that consumes all and draws all into union with the Father through the Son. The gaze of Jesus is My Light, penetrating your heart and being. The Word of Jesus is My Fire, consuming you in Love and blessing you with wisdom, understanding, knowledge, and fear of the Lord. I Am the breadth of the Son; that is why He breathed on His apostles My life. I Am the Fire of Love in the Sacred Heart of Jesus. I Am the Love of the Father and the Son. I, the Holy Spirit, consume all, transform all, into Love... It is I who sets on fire every particle of your being in the love of the Father and Son...
It is I, consumed in the Son as ONE with the Father and Son, who moves the Son to lay down His life for Love. It is I who moves you to lay down your life as ONE with the Son. Remain in Me as I desire to remain in you. Allow Me, like Mary, to consume you. Do not give Me any resistance. 2/16/12
In 2014, Pope Francis explained wisdom with great clarity and simplicity in his series of talks about the Gift of Wisdom:
“Wisdom is the grace of being able to see everything with the eyes of God. It is simply this: Seeing the world, situations, conjunctures, problems, everything with God’s eyes. Often we see things as we want to see them or according to our heart, with love, with hate, with envy. No, this is not God’s eyes. Wisdom is what the Holy Spirit does within us so that we can see everything with God’s eyes. This is the gift of wisdom.”
The New Testament reveals that wisdom is found in Christ crucified. Saint Paul reveals this truth of wisdom most eloquently:
“[W]e preach Christ crucified, a stumbling block to Jews and folly to Gentiles, but to those who are called, both Jews and Greeks, Christ the power of God and the wisdom of God” (1 Cor. 1:23-24).
St. Paul also writes that the wisdom of God is secret and hidden:
“We impart a secret and hidden wisdom of God, which God decreed before the ages for our glorification.” 1 Cor. 2:7
God is revealing to all men through St. Paul that the secret and hidden wisdom of God is Christ crucified. God's plan for our salvation from the beginning of time was that we would be saved through His Son's passion, death, and resurrection, and that we would be redeemed in His image and likeness through the Cross. Our transformation into Love is only accomplished by becoming one with Love crucified, through the crucifixion of our self-love and self-will. Jesus revealed this wisdom of Abba's plan of salvation when He said, If any man would come after me, let him deny himself and take up his cross daily and follow me (Luke 9:23).
The wisdom of God is found in Christ crucified. Therefore, to grow in wisdom, we must open our hearts to receive the grace of the Mystery of the Cross revealed by the Holy Spirit. “Has not God made foolish the wisdom of the world? For since, in the wisdom of God, the world did not know God through wisdom, it pleased God through the folly of what we preach to save those who believe” (1 Cor. 1:20-21). We come to know God through Jesus crucified, and we enter union with God only by becoming one with Love crucified. This is the wisdom of God.
On August 15th, 2021, Jesus said to us, Continue to proclaim from the housetops the words I have spoken to you throughout the years, for they hold the wisdom of God for the salvation of the world. Jesus is revealing to us that His Simple Path to Union with God holds the wisdom of God. The gift of the Holy Spirit of wisdom flows from knowing God through an intimate relationship with Christ, most especially His sorrows.
The wisdom of the Cross can be understood intellectually by many Christians, yet only those who embrace the mystery of the Cross and live it daily become in the world “as he is” (1 John 4:17). This is why few are truly wise.
To grow in wisdom requires our collaboration through perseverance in prayer, silent contemplation, and growth in virtue, especially the highest level of humility, which is desiring solely the Cross for love of God and the redemption of souls, purity of heart, simplicity, and the spirit of poverty. Therefore, as we persevere in allowing the Holy Spirit to empty us of self and choose daily to participate in the work of our crucifixion, we decrease, and Christ increases in us. As we are filled with God, we become wise, for wisdom dwells in us and through us.
Just as clear glass is filled with liquid, and you can see clearly through the glass the liquid inside, you are called to be My clear, pure vessel. You are chosen to hold My precious Blood. My Blood is My life. My Blood is healing fire. Therefore, first, My vessel must be emptied and purified. This is what I have been accomplishing in you at My feet and in My pierced side. It is now in My Sacred Heart, in the furnace, which is the fire of the Holy Spirit, that you are formed as My living chalices. My fire purifies all blemishes and tarnishes. You are of pure glass, but when filled with My precious Blood, you radiate to the world the golden light of the Holy Spirit. My Blood always heals, restores, refreshes, and brings new life. Therefore, the gaze of your eyes will radiate pure love. The touch of your hands will heal, and your words will pour forth the wisdom, knowledge, and understanding of God. This is how you put on your Lord, Jesus Christ, so that you are the light of the world (Rm 13:11-12). My little ones help Me and My Mother form many victims of love radiating the pure love of the Trinity. 10/7/11
What does wisdom look like and sound like?
It's easy to see and hear praise and adoration and sacrifice, but to see and hear wisdom is more difficult because wisdom is contained in the depth of the human heart as it is being transformed into the image and likeness of God. Wisdom can be likened to the hidden transformation of a human heart, much like a caterpillar in a cocoon becoming a beautiful butterfly.
The beauty of wisdom is seen when, in every situation in our lives, we know with certainty that God is present and acting always for our good and the good of others. This ability to see everything, especially human suffering, through the lens of God's infinite goodness and love is wisdom. When we live, embracing our illnesses, financial difficulties, and difficult relationships, with perfect trust, gazing at Love crucified, and choose to suffer as one heart with Him, we are living in the radiance of the wisdom of the Cross. The sound of wisdom is heard when we live in the silence of Jesus's groans, participating with Him in His agony of love.
Wisdom is found in the Mystery of the Cross. The Simple Path is the work of the Holy Spirit to make us wise by living in the wisdom of the Cross, but we must give our continuous “fiat”, like Mary, to become one with Love crucified, no longer two. The closer our configuration is to Christ crucified, the wiser we become. As we become one with Love crucified, we become one with Wisdom. We see, hear, understand, and perceive through the lens of God. We live on earth, but no longer of the world, for we live from the heights of heaven, gazing and understanding our earthly lives through God's perfect plan and will. This is wisdom.
Wisdom is able to discern the signs of the times according to God's will and perfect plan. We see what is happening in the world and the darkness of Satan without any anxiety or fear, for wisdom knows that God is love; Wisdom knows and believes that Christ's Cross has triumphed, and therefore, we live in perfect peace, hope, and joy awaiting the Eucharistic Reign of Christ with the Reign of the Holy Spirit and Mary!
Wisdom sees and understands the life of Jesus Christ revealed in the Gospel in the context of our daily lives. For example, in the miracle of the multiplication of the loaves, we see our ordinary hidden lives, fused in Christ’s sacrifice of love and “broken” continuously of all self-love and self-will as that insignificant small loaf of bread in Jesus’ hands, and we believe that our lives through Him, with Him, and in Him are multiplied and become God's power to make all things new. Wisdom knows and lives the Gospel, not as a past event of Jesus’ life, but as the present event in the here and now of our ordinary lives.
Mary reveals to us perfect wisdom, for she is the new and divine holiness. She is the radiance of the light of Wisdom:
My little one, do you wish to know and understand what the new and divine holiness is? Then just ponder My Blessed Mother. She is the New Eve, fully restored, through the graces of My passion, death, and resurrection, the most perfect image of God's glory attained as a creature. Mary represents My spotless Bride, the most pleasing creature to the eyes of God because she reflects His beauty, His goodness, and My perfect sacrifice of love. She radiates the pure life-giving love of the Holy Spirit; she is one with wisdom, and therefore, she became the Queen of Heaven and Earth.
God is granting in these end times the fulfillment of the graces of My death and resurrection to humanity to produce for His glory the great saints of the end times, clothed in the splendor of My Mother's purity and humility. These pure holy souls, past, present, and future, at the designated time, known only by the Father, will cast into hell Satan and all his evil spirits to obtain for the world an era of peace never before known to humanity. It will be an era when My Divine Love triumphs as one heart with My Mother, and the Holy Spirit triumphs as He unites mankind to know Love, and adore Me in My Eucharistic life. This, My little one, is the new and divine holiness. Rejoice and thank God continuously for being counted among the few souls living this grace and perpetuating it in the world. Remain solely in My peace. 12/5/25
The Feast of the Epiphany is a reminder to us that through God's “glorious gift” of the Simple Path, we are able to become the gifts of gold, radiant wisdom, frankincense, perfect praise and gratitude to God in all things, and myrrh, one in Jesus's perfect sacrifice of love. God has blessed us in abundance with these gifts, and we become a pure and total gift back to Him, a holy fragrance to God that delights and glorifies Him, for wisdom is humility.
Humility is the rose of pure fragrance that delights the Heart of the Father. Its petals open and expand, revealing the beauty of its interior life... Humility is clothed in the precious Blood of my Son. Its pure fragrance is love in suffering. Its beauty is Love crucified. Its petals are obedience, poverty, faith, silence, recollection, honesty, truth, innocence, boldness, zeal for the house of the Lord, tenderness, kindness, perseverance... All its petals have blossomed from the purity of the Sacred Heart of Jesus. The radiance and beauty of each petal is the purity of God. Be the roses of humility at the foot of the throne of the Father. 8/22/12
St. Paul prays, asking God that we “may have power to comprehend with all the saints what is the breadth and length and height and depth, and to know the love of Christ which surpasses knowledge, that you may be filled with all the fullness of God.” (Eph. 3:18-19)
Mary, on the Feast of her Immaculate Conception in 2025, invited us to rejoice with her as pure frankincense because through the fullness of the graces of Jesus’ passion, death, and resurrection, we are being transformed as God’s power and radiant light to help in the salvation of the world. To understand and believe the words that Jesus and Mary speak to us is to have wisdom.
I am the Immaculate Conception conceived from the beginning of time in the Heart of Abba as the perfect and pure image of the Most Holy Trinity, representing His Bride, the Holy Catholic Church. Through the fullness of the graces of my Son's passion, death, and resurrection being poured upon the pure, little, innocent victim souls of these end times, the Immaculate Conception, the fullness of the Third Person of the Trinity, my Spouse, the Holy Spirit, God is transforming His little souls for His glory and for the salvation of the world. Therefore, you, along with the few victim souls, glorify God as one heart with me, your Holy Mother. Believe, my little ones, believe in the God who loves you, who sent His Only Begotten Son into the world to bring you to the full status of Abba's adopted sons and daughters configured to my Son to shine on earth as God's lights, for God is truly making all things new. Rejoice, and live your lives in continuous gratitude. 12/8/25
May we glorify God continuously, with our every breath, as He continues to fill us with the fullness of the Trinity, and we become His golden light of wisdom in the world, illuminating the Mystery of the Cross. Amen
